December 12, 2000 — The Association for Facilities Engineering announces its 2001 national calendar for Certified Plant Engineer (CPE) and Certified Facilities Maintenance Manager (CPMM) reviews and examinations. Both programs require certain levels of education and/or experience for eligibility and completion of an application.  Look here for FAQ for both programs With prior arrangement, the CPE and CPMM exams can be administered under certain proctored conditions as an alternative to the dates and places identified below. AFE  http://www.afe.org   has approximately 9,000 members in over 100 active chapters throughout the U.S. & Canada  Members-at-large, student and corporate members, and non-member subscribers of our bimonthly technical journal live not only throughout the U.S. but all over the world. The CPMM program debuted in 1999 to provide a standard of professional competence for maintenance managers and to enhance the status of this field as a unique discipline and profession. It is built on the success of the CPE program. The curriculum consists of the following sections: maintenance management, preventive maintenance, inventory and procurement, work orders - work flow/planning and scheduling, CMMS, training and work cultures, predictive maintenance, reliability centered maintenance, total productive maintenance, maintenance financials and return on investment.   The CPE program provides a standard of competence for facilities engineers and managers.
