National Information AFE has several committees to focus and direct their efforts to support facilities professionals. These committees are populated with facilities professionals from the membership of AFE, and provide direction to the staff in Cincinnati. The local Atlanta Chapter 42 has the same committee structure and you can participate at either the local or the national level. Many people start at the local level and when they learn how much fun it is and how many contacts they make that can help their career, they continue developing their skills and can move up to a national committee position. From each one of these National committees, the chairperson is the functional Vice President. Each functional Vice President has a seat to comprise the Executive Board of Directors.
The more members active in association activities, the broader the knowledge base and the more diverse the experience from which you can draw as a member and participant in association activities.
